These Carbines were adopted the 6th of January 1900, even though production stared in 1889.

The Model 1891 TS Carbine was issued to Artillery & Engineering Units, NCO's, Alpine Logistics Units, Royal Navy, & Forestry Militia

This model TS like no other had a vast number of changes & upgrades depending on its use, this example is the last version of the TS with dual sling swivels arrangement
and barrel band to accept the standard M1891 Bayonet

These were recently released as Surplus by the Italian Carabinieri.

Still covered in Cosomoline Storage Grease, they were cleaned just enough to allow proof, we have now stripped & cleaning these.

Good Conition, the bores have strong rifling with some frosting
