Rare RFV (Reichsfinanzverwaltung) WWII Nazi Walther PP

The Walther PP (Polizei Pistole) was produced from 1929.
The PP and the PPK were among the world's first successful double action semi-automatic pistols

Walther's original factory was located in Zella-Mehlis in the "Land" (state) of Thuringia.
After the war, production of the PP and PPK pistols was resumed in France by Manurhin under German licence.
Later on, production was returned to the re-established Walther factory in the city of Ulm

This is an early Zella-Mehlis marked example with the 90 Degree saftey

Rare WWII Nazi Walther PP marked to RFV 6699 W (Reichsfinanzverwaltung). This PP was issued to a member of the Reichs Finanz Verwaltung or Finance Ministry officials & Customs Officers, they were later merged in to the SS after the assassination attempt on Hitler. This organization was also responsible for border crossings until the end of WWII.

This early example has the 90 degree saftey & flat based magazine and dates to 1936
It is correctly marked with the nitro proof stamps crown over N on frame, slide and barrel.

Walther introduced the PP in 1929 with serial numbers starting approximately at 750,001.
