During the Second World War Australia produced various British pattern weapons to arm its own forces.
Although Australian forces fort against Nazi Germany, with some units being deployed in Europe, the vast majority of its forces fort against the Japanese, playing a key role in the Pacific War with US forces.
Lithgow built very few SMLEs during WWII making these fairly scarce rifles.
This good honest rifle is in proof and ready to shoot.
