Muzzle Ring Diameters - 14mm & 15mm

This is the 15mm Version & is suitable for the 1899, 1899/96, 1896/11 & 1911 Long Rifles

There were problems with the bayonet staying in the scabbard leading to the modifications made to earlier models

The Model 1899 is a slight re-design of the original M1899 by adding an arresting bar in the fuller to help keep the bayonet in the scabbard.
Note: the arresting bar is in both fullers.
