Issued with both long rifles & carbines depending on the muzzle ring diameter

Muzzle Ring Diameters - 14mm & 15mm

This is the 14mm Version & is suitable for the K11 & K31 Carbines

There were problems with the bayonet staying in the scabbard leading to the modifications made to earlier models

The Model 1899 is a slight re-design of the original M1899 by adding an arresting bar in the fuller to help keep the bayonet in the scabbard.
Note: the arresting bar is in both fullers.

Serial No 2298 was originally matched with a Model K11 Carbine
2298 was originally a 1900 Short Rifle that was converted to the K11 Spec - These are known as the Model 00/11 Carbines
