P14 Enfield by Winchester
Calibre 0.303
Serial No: W30296
Price: £495

Very Rare No3 Mk2

A Very Nice original P14 by the desirable maker "Winchester", everything is matching including the 1916 dated barrel. Being manufactured in 1916 it is one of the earlier rifles
supplied to Britain

It has been through WW2 Weedon Repair & converted to Mk2 standard with the removal of the volley sights and fitting of a Mk2 specification fore-end.

Rifles with this new woodwork are not seen very often so this is an interesting addition to any collection as well as being a fine shooting rifle.

During WW2 H.Morris & Co of Glassgow, manufactured 11,000 replacement stocks for the Pattern 14, which were marked No3 Mk2 becasue they were devoid of the
obsolete long range volley sights & butt marking disc.

The War Time code for Morris is N.49 which is also stamped on the fore-end

The fore-end has sold out of Service Marks on the right side which is denoted by the opposing Broad Arrows and a Capital "S"

It is of Winchester manufacture which are considered to be the better quality rifle.

This example is in Very Good Condition and has a good shooting grade bore
