Very Rare No3 Mk2
A Very Nice original P14 by the desirable maker "Winchester",
everything is matching including the 1916 dated barrel. Being manufactured
in 1916 it is one of the earlier rifles
It has been through WW2 Weedon Repair & converted
to Mk2 standard with the removal of the volley sights and fitting of a
Mk2 specification fore-end.
During WW2 H.Morris & Co of Glassgow, manufactured
11,000 replacement stocks for the Pattern 14, which were marked No3 Mk2
becasue they were devoid of the
The War Time code for Morris is N.49 which is also stamped on the fore-end
The fore-end has sold out of Service Marks on the right side which is denoted by the opposing Broad Arrows and a Capital "S"
It is of Winchester manufacture which are considered
to be the better quality rifle.
