Standard Pattern 1907 Bayonet by Lithgow Dated November 1921
A nice inter-war, example by Lithgow of the Pattern 1907
British bayonet for the SMLE rifle
The ricasso of the bayonet is stamped by the manufacturer;
Lithgow along with the early shield type Lithgow Manufacturers mark, 1907
and dated ' 11 21 (November 1921).
The reverse is stamped with inspection marks &military Broad Arrow.
The blade is in nice clean condition and it's wood grips are undamaged.
. It is complete with it's steel mounted leather Scabbard. All stitching
and Leather of the scabbard are intact.
A really nice Pattern 1907 Bayonet made in Australia at
Lithgow between the wars.
Its not that common to see early Post WW1 dated bayonets because of the
surplus after the war, this one is also a transitional version as it does
clearance hole in the pommel.
