Deactivated Firearms

Customers are advised that you must by law be 18 years of age or older to purchase deactivated weapons, swords, knives and bayonets from this website.
Customers, who purchase any antique/obsolete firearms, cannot be a Prohibited Person under Section 21 of the 1968 Firearms Act as amended.
By placing an order you are declaring that you are of legal age to do so, that you are not a Prohibited Person and that you accept the Conditions of Sale.

Gaurantee

** Our Firearms **
We stand by every item we sell, and sometimes things do go wrong, so if you are having any problem just contact us and we will endeavour to resolve the problem.
We normally Gaurantee each firearm for a period of 6 Months as long as it has not been modified or abused in anyway.
We are not liable for damage caused by the use of incorrect type of ammunition.

** Firearms Sold for Customers **
We do sell firearms on behalf of our customers so unfortunately we cannot offer a warranty on any second hand items we sell on their behalf.
If you collect the gun from us you have the chance to inspect it fully before buying
If you purchase and we send the gun to your local RFD for collection we will withhold payment to the original owner for 4 weeks, within this period, if you are not happy with firearm, make arrangements for its return & we will issue a refund less the shipping costs.
However we do check these over & service them including checks for valid proof marks etc.

Help & Advice
We are happy to provide advice help & guidance on any of our items, items purchased or Classic Firearms in general.
We always say there is no such thing as a silly question so if you are unsure just ask.

Commission Sales

What We Charge & Offer

Every firearm brought in will be thoroughly checked over & test fired if possible before sale. If there are any issues found, you will be notified and repairs can be arranged.

Once the gun has been checked and is deemed fit for sale, we will advise on a reserved price according to current market trends/prices. This is effectively the reserve price for you,
without our commission.

Our commission is set at 15% of the total sale value (or at least £100, whichever value is higher), so we will strive to get as much as possible for your gun.

*On every commission sale firearm, there is a "cooling off" period of 60-days. This is the 60-days following the upliftof the gun by the buyer and is just in case there are any faults within this time. If the gun has any faults within this 60-day period, the original owner is responsible for repair costs, not Highwod Classic Arms. We can arrange repairs and deduct the cost from the final payout. Sale proceeds, minus our 15% commission and any repair costs, will be transferred after the 60-day period.

What service is provided?

Encompassed into our 15% commission is a professional, experienced selling service which covers:

Valuation, inspection and cleaning of the gun/s to be put to sale
The advertising of your gun on our website, social media and/or relevant forums
Access to our extensive customer base

What if I change my mind or manage to sell the gun privately?

Any gun brought in on a commission sale basis may be uplifted with prior warning, and upon presenting the relevant certificate. There will be a nominal fee of £25 upon uplift, for the admin, cleaning & repairs already completed.
