Israeli Issue Walther PPK
Very Good Condition
The Walther PPK, a smaller version of the PP with a shorter
grip, barrel and frame, and reduced magazine capacity.
A new, two-piece wrap-around grip panel construction was used to conceal
the exposed back strap.
The smaller size made it more concealable than the original PP and hence
better suited to plainclothes or undercover work. It was released in 1930.
PPK is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kurz (Police Pistol Short),
"kurz" referring to the police Pistol with a shorter barrel
Walther's original factory was located in Zella-Mehlis in the "Land"
(state) of Thuringia.
After the war, production of the PP and PPK pistols was resumed in France
by Manurhin under German licence.
Later on, production was returned to the re-established Walther factory
in the city of Ulm.
This example is one of the Israeli Contract Issue PPks.

The frame is marked with the typical Israeli Ownership
This is the earlier all steel version made at Ulm.
Very Unusual to find a Walther PPK Israeli marked,
especially in .22
