Israeli Issue Walther PPK

Very Good Condition

The Walther PPK, a smaller version of the PP with a shorter grip, barrel and frame, and reduced magazine capacity.
A new, two-piece wrap-around grip panel construction was used to conceal the exposed back strap.
The smaller size made it more concealable than the original PP and hence better suited to plainclothes or undercover work. It was released in 1930.
PPK is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kurz (Police Pistol Short), "kurz" referring to the police Pistol with a shorter barrel and frame
Walther's original factory was located in Zella-Mehlis in the "Land" (state) of Thuringia.

After the war, production of the PP and PPK pistols was resumed in France by Manurhin under German licence.
Later on, production was returned to the re-established Walther factory in the city of Ulm.

This example is one of the Israeli Contract Issue PPks. unusually in .22.

The frame is marked with the typical Israeli Ownership marks

This is the earlier all steel version made at Ulm.

Very Unusual to find a Walther PPK Israeli marked, especially in .22
